SubscriberYou can use any latching switch you like. Ideally, you'd want one that latches off. That is, it is normally On (allowing the earth wire from the Door Ajar switch to operate normally) so that when you press the switch it latches Off, thus interrupting the earth signal and tricking the BCM into thinking the rear right door is open.
I already had the switch pictured (which is a good quality metal switch) left over from another project, so just used that. My son had a jeweller/engraver who owed him a favour, so we engraved it for fun.

SubscriberCar is showroom spec except for tyres (new Falkens loving them). No excess weight whatsoever.
I do take a second battery and solar panel and Engel if staying in one location for a long time but this is only overnighting.
Note Defender to the left. Only seen one other 09 Disco petrol from Busselton on the trails.

Peoples. Driving home tonight dash lights fading and coming back to normal just had parking lights on,turn park lights off dash lights back to normal leave park lights on back to fading. Wondering if this is a sign that the alternator is on its way out. Car is a D4 2013 329400ks original alternator. Thanks. Kero
