Finally got around to retrofitting the Logic7 parts I've been accumulating over the last few months...
Awesome difference in sound - it's gone from being brilliant to being epic I think. Genuinely sounds like the audio is coming straight out of the dash, rather than individual speakers.
Not a simple job though, apparently more complex on the 2009-2012 models like mine. It involved running cables through the door glands to both front doors, cables and new trim with speakers to the D pillars, an extra cable to pick up the centre dash speaker. Plus, an extra speaker in each of the front door cards. I cheated by replacing the cards with newer models (the top was wearing anyway), but if i didn't it would have involved cutting plastic.
Then a bunch of re-wiring under the driver seat to connect everything into the new amplifier.
The whole lot then gets enabled using the 'unconfirmed' list of CCF in the Gap tool.
Fair to say I think I've entered a phase of ownership where it's now a hobby..
