Yep. They (AT3W) do a great job. For the price I pay I can’t see anything else going on for a while.

They seem very reasonably priced and may be a good all round tyre?
I had the Hankooks on my Discovery 255/55/R19 and destroyed three in light off-roading situations, never touching them again.

Got Hankook ATs in 235/85/16LT on the Defender and very happy with them as an all-purpose touring tyre, including Outback Qld roads.

I work in an environment where I was averaging 2-5 punctures a week.

It really does come down to driving style, location, speed, nature of the terrain.

Those wanting offroad performance will have to sacrifice something else (usually noise) if they are only running a single set of rubber.

    Considered a set Duratracs for my D5 in 275 55 20.

On advice from tyre mob (Bob Jane) ended up fitting Nitto Ridge Grapplers which i am very happy with.

Good on road both wet & dry, good on gravel & good off road done about 6000 km on them.
    Cheers

Just took the D2 for a rip after 6m of not driving her. Those Duratracs handle very well.

I've had Maxxis 980 LT 19" on for around 45K now and the noise level gets less as they wear. Maybe another 10K on them. Very undecided about what tyre or rim size to go for next. Tuffant 18" are on my mind at the mo but what rubber??
    Decisions decisions.

Alan a mate of mine had that tyre on his late D3. It was a good tough tyre at Cape York. I do like Maxxis having run the Bravos on 2 different Land Rovers. The Dura has another 4mm or so depth from standard when new over the Maxxis in my size tyre.

In the R19 size the Maxxis has 1/32” more depth than the Duratrac. 13/32” vs 12/32” or around 0.8mm, so insignificant factor here. Duratrac seem to be $400-450 in this size whereas $330 for a Maxxis last purchase. Not insignificant if you’re going to buy a complete set. Goodyear Duratrac - are they noisy?? I still haven’t decided.

Maxxis used to be even cheaper when I started using them (ie in comparison to other, better known, makes). But they are still good value and especially if in the size you are looking at the tread depth is the same.

    Cheers
