Thread: Injector extractor

BSP in Campbellfield may have something - I borrowed a puller (well a modified injector top I could fit to my slide hammer) from them a while ago to pull a stubborn unit on my L332 but not sure if they lend/hire things out now or to who - but they are a super helpful bunch for any pump or injector question so worth the call IMO.

Spray some WD40 or similar around the hole and leave overnight, mine came out without a hitch and considering yours has been apart too i'm surprised they wont come out easily.

Thanks Nick, I'm taking the injectors out of the wreck and they don't look like they've been disturbed in a long time. The injectors are currently soaking in WD40 but I'm anticipating interesting times.

If you have access to an old injector pipe, cut it, keep the nut. Weld the nut to a short length of chain. Weld the other end to a bolt you can screw into your slide hammer.

The chain is helpful incase you don't pull perfectly square, it won't break the welds.

Thanks, I tried them but they don't have this tool yet.

Use long bolts and start it!!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have sourced a tool from Endeavour Tools who sell through Burson. The tool should arrive in the next few days, meanwhile I'll continue soaking the injectors with WD40.
