Those prices have gone through the roof !
I paid about $2200 for a 3 year extention upto 160000km on the clock.
Three years ago is was about $1600 with Allianz !
My Allianz ( all policies sold by this lot , as of this financial year ) Vehicle insurance now
    gives free RACQ .

Just a quick note for those who have been following the thread...

Meaghan Roulston (who used to be the Platinum Direct Finance person) s no longer in the finance/insurance game, so no need to ask for her when calling.

My first claim ( susp compressor ) was July . LR repaired it , but
the Indy serviced it . Everyone gets their money and no one's
bothered . I think Allianz didn't even ask about service history.

WRT the warranty . When I bought the vehicle 11/07 , the Dealer wanted
$1850 , so I let it go ....... Had just read on D3UK/Oz at the time a guy in
Wollongong paid $1500 at SouthernCross .

Old post " ... took out the Allianz extended warranty through Southern Classic Cars (Wollongong, NSW) though I only paid $1320. (3yr / 60,000kms cover) "

This why I didn't go with the LR Dealer's , at the time .......

Just had a quote from my LR dealer in Melbourne.
It is through Alliance and covers 2 years or 100K, whichever comes first.
    Cost is $2,620.00.
    Cheers, Craig

That is costly for such a poor product.
I am sure that Allianz will put the price of theirs up given the amount of claims they have had. I concider the current price a bargain.

If you remember teh FFRR has a five year warranty from LR, even with that the last two years were with an insurance company LR just paid the premium.
Dont think the FFRR has a 5 yr warranty as standard. I'm looking at one - my11 and dealer confirms it's expired. Offered two choices, AWN OR Allianz. From my reading Allianz is WAY WAY better.

AWN is CRAP, extract below -

2grand for 2 years 200,000km. This was from the car yard on a $110k FFRR VOGUE L322 MY11.

Maybe the yard is subsidising it cos they can wear some in the INFLATED car price. Dunno...
