I really can't understand why there are so many different answers from different ARB stores/franchises?

You would think in a company that has built its reputation on supplying so called "proper" off road gear can't get a simple answer to
It's clients, people willing to spend big dollars with them.
As far as I am aware the Bull Bar WILL fit all models.
    I know they will, I have seen them on a V6 petrol, a V8 Petrol & obviously the TDV6 Discovery 3's.

I would take it up with ARB direct in Kilsyth, Victoria as they are the head office.
I am also sure that one of the members either works for or is in some way involved with ARB or one of its franchises.

    Very Frustrating for potential owners.

Hi guys, the D3 bars have been designed and tested for fitment to diesel models only (excluding HSE) as indicated in our price list.

I will make some enquiries with our engineers to find out what the issues are with fitment to petrol models and post it here for clarification.

    Cheers, Sam.

My local Oposite Lock store assured me that their post bar would fit my V6, so I ordered one. I would have had it fitted, too, if they hadn't stuffed me around for three months promising me week after week that it would soon be delivered (after suggesting it could be as little as two weeks)....

    Question

Whilst all the talk of bull bars, did I read correctly on the LR Australia site that there is now a factory D4 alloy Bullbar available? Would these be able to be fitted to a D3?

You did, and most likely it would - you would need to check though. Here is a post about it:

It is very expensive compared to the other offerings.

Had a look through Topix and couldn't find any installation instructions. Like to know how it comes together re: trimming wheel arches, infill between headlight and bar. Curious if it is compatible with discrete LR winch mount. Anyone the wiser?

    Hi Sam,

Re excluding HSE diesels, you better tell all the existing HSE owners that have ARB bars that they won't fit.

I went into a ARB store over a year ago and was told that ARB don't make a bar that can be fitted to a diesel HSE, knowing there are plenty that have them fitted I rang the head office and the person I spoke to told me that their bars can be fitted to HSE's no problem at all.

    cheers,
    Terry

Gday Thommo, they do make alloy bullbars, 2 problems though

1- they are over $4,000 fitted
2- it will probably be the UGLIEST accessory you added to your LR

    Cheers

I contacted ARB here today (Adelaide) asking for a quote on a bullbar for my 2007 Disco 3 2007 V6 Petrol and was told that they would contact Melbourne (head Office?) and ring me back as they had had an email within the last 2 weeks asking them if they had fitted a Bullbar to this vehicle. Anyway they rang back and said they would order a bar and attempt to fit it! they would need the vehicle for 2 days and quoted $2100 inclusive GST for a winch bar. I expressed surprise that no one had attempted this before. What do you think???

The link below is the ARB USA website. All LR3's and LR4's here are petrol, either V6 or V8. The part numbers listed are for both winch and bull bars, for the LR3 and LR4. I do not think the steering wheel location makes any difference to the bars.
