    Not happy Jan

Hi catch-22, have you had any more suspension issues.

I had my RR out yesterday and all was well for the first 20 minutes.

Stopped to do some shopping. Lowered it to let the wife at at the entrance, then moved a few metres to park and the RR raised back to normal height and a “SUSPENSION FAULT” message came up.

Locked up and did some shopping and hoped it would reset itself ( wishful thinking ), and when I returned, same message and no light in the switch.

Drove home and on the way, after stopping at lights or slowing at intersections, as I accelerated, the “MAXIMUM SPEED 50 KMS” came up and one one occasion, the message “SPECIAL PROGRAMS OFF” came up while driving.

    Anyone got any clews?

    g'day,

Mine was fine after the cold weather subsided. I suspect condensation.

I bought a MkIII all Comm unit from here http://www.rswsolutions.com/index.ph...=415&Itemid=81 and just reset all codes when they came up. I found updates to be good as well and I can now go and set the suspension heights etc...

If you're in the area we can use it on yours to see if it can locate the issue.

    Cheers

Something as simple as not rising quickly enough from access to normal height will trigger a fault. If the compresor's air dryer hasn't been replaced it could easily have become too restrictive, but that's only guessing as there are several possibilities. Perhaps its time to get a fault code reader so you know for sure what's causing faults.

The MkIII unit states that it is only applicable up to MY05.

And my VIN is 7A******, so that rules that one out.

Shame because it sounds perfect for what I need.

and the MKIII doesn't cover those of us with the diesel variant, nor does it provide testing functionality which IMO is essential.

Have a look at http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/products/iidtool.html - the 2007 modules are still under development, but currently has the features you need for your current problem. They may still want beta testers... Only problem I have with the product is using it on a very small screen. Portability is a huge +

Yes, I received one of the first units as a tester (many of us globally were offered a cheaper purchase price in return for providing testing feedback on their software). Very first one was not very good, 2nd unit was a big improvement but still had a couple issues, now have my third unit (version now available to market and update-able) and it's really good. Only thing I don't like is the small screen, but you get used to it and given it doesn't need a laptop, leave it in the glove box and you ALWAYS have a diagnostic kit on hand - makes the small screen issue forgettable. As I've mentioned before, IId has several feature missing from MKIII.

I have no association with them other than the initial discount when I purchased my device, and to be honest, I spent so much time on it for them, I wish I just paid full price after the bugs were out.

Hi Harlie, who did you get your unit through.

I sent an e-mail, via Britparts but I haven’t heard a word from them?

I borrowed one of those RSW tools from a fellow member (JSP) and it worked really well.

I ended up buy a different unit from some guys in Canada, where you use the steering wheel controls to reset the EAS error & etc. Works a treat.

Edit to say: Just worked out from the posts above that mine is the IIDTool....

    Hi Tim.
Bripart are the exclusive dealer for IIDTool. So keep at them. Also as a beta tester I'm very happy with mine. Just been updated to V2.17 for my MY05 TD6.
