Completely agree. But I think you got that last sentence backwards BTW.
My point is that even the 20s will have 6-7" of legal sidewall. The 18s will have 7-8" and that's getting towards old Defender territory. I'm looking at the usable sidewall rather than the rim size and suggesting that's enough for reasonable use everywhere. Decades ago you had to have 15s or 16s to get good tyres. Then it was 17s and now increasingly 18s and 20s are very well covered. The problem was that many manufactures held on to 29-30" tyres so the sidewalls shrank to silly levels. LR (and others) are now going bigger to keep a reasonable sidewall. And the tyre manufactures cater very well to this in 33" sizes and beyond.

Spot on, even if it was released on 20's would be fine, plenty of room under those guards to add more sidewall if one wants by the looks.

Ahhh. That makes more sense. I read that as "bugger all sidewall". Silly me. I haven't had my morning coffees yet...
50mm is largely country wide now so that means anything up to around a 865mm/34" tyre is OK. That opens up a lot of possibilities in both fat and narrow depending on your preferences (and let's not go there...)

Just wondering what the "bolt head/rivet head" type bulges are on the roof line (?)

The "3ELVB009" will probably be a car identification number. I've seen similar information on test cars we've had before.

Nicely noticed had not seen those rivets before, I'm guessing to hold on the fake paneling or camouflage of the sloping front roofline seen on the nurburgring shots.

I think in the Vid he said ELV most likely is Electric Vehicle

Thats stopping Euro 6 regs being mandatory here.

The Govt has been sitting on this for at least the last 18 months.

It was noted in a fleet email i receive regularly from another vehicle manufacturer.They are also hoping things change sooner than later.
