    That You Tube can't be right. Most TV action shots on their ads have most 4WDs driving at maniacal speeds over all sorts of rough conditions, that guy took the sensible approach & took it easy.

    Same as a hill climb in some ads, the trees are shown not vertically but leaning back, indicating the images were taken on flat ground but with the Camera at an angle to make it look really steep for the wonkers.

    A very bad example for "new" drivers which makes them probably think "The bloke on the telly did it so I can as well".

    Spy footage.....doesn’t appeared they were camouflaged in the hills.

    Apparently chopped RRS, defender 90 mule, my guess is there is a coil version there hiding, one of these RRS defender mules where spotted with coils early on in the piece.

    In your opinion have they jumped the shark
    Is now as in Mid April the time for JLR to put out a media package
    To amp things up with Actual Facts

    Is keeping it all cloak and dagger past this week going to start costing them ???

    It seems like they are not steering the ship now

    My gut feeling is they need to own the marketing from here on in
    Some good ‘ol camel trophy ads merging to new defender type thing???

    Then again, their marketing budget thus far has consisted of a few rambles from a few people and one line drawing? Maybe they are aiming for most sales from least marketing Guiness Record?

    If you mean the chopped-up RRS, no - that's a mule, probably for testing drive-trains, and that one or others like it have been around for a while.

    The boxy D4-looking ones are, in contrast, the pilot builds being tested, so whatever's under that camouflage is the actual vehicle.
