As the man in the article said, with a hybrid there's no range anxiety. Same goes for range extender electrics. But a pure electric? No, that won't be the case until there are chargers in every town and charging them takes no longer than filling the tank now.Quote:

From an engineering point of view, Its easy to make a family sedan 5 star safety rated its much harder to make a true blue offroader 5 star safety rated as Jeep continues to find out. The juggling act with the new defender would not have been easy by any means,offroad,onroad,efficiency,safety,comfort,cap ability, utilitarian, durability & reliability..ugh my head hurts.Quote:

I agree given LR's reputation in the past with safety, they should gain 5 star, however it is far from easy to achieve especially with a fold back roof imo.
