They were same price as a basic D2 in 2002 when I purchased my D2. So $45k approx (Td5 not Puma) on the road ie the right pricing.

Yes, I seem to remember a price of about $50k for a 90 Puma. However, I'm a senior citizen now, so I could be wrong.

Not many good 18” common off road tyre options (other than 285/60) compared to 17” tyre options, if load rating is important.

Maybe in 285/60s. But try getting a spare this size into a D3/4, L320 or L322.

That's just the most ecomical way of driving the 400hp straight 6 across Europe. Or otherwise it's just part of essential LR product testing to make sure it.goes easily onto a slide tray using the new red tongue.
