A 60 series tyre is low profile for a serious 4WD.
They don't bag and flex as well as a taller profile tyre when aired down so traction isn't as good, all things being equal.
Of course they work ok, but for off road and outback touring a taller sidewall is much nicer.
And on that note the current penchant for 50 series and lower profile tyres on any vehicle is crazy.
A harsh ride for a smidge better steering response that 99% of people don't even recognise or feel?
Australian roads are just too ordinary, too many pot holes and broken edges to justify having no sidewall height.
And if anyone thinks that to be a high performance tyre you must have a silly low profile just check out the sidewall height on an F1 car.

(yes, I realise those tyres will change soon, but purely to reflect the marketing of modern cars!
