Rear door window on 110 pilot looks way too long.

The rear door on the LWB stops at the door handle. It is disguised by padding to make it look longer. That is the whole point of disguises....

I thought disguises were to show what it really looks like haha, nah cheers. Yeah agree with you but the door line around the guard looks very convincing, but it still something doesn't seem right proportion wise. If you look at it as it is, due to the departure angle being same as the 90, there seems to be not much rear storage space.Unless there is a meter of legroom, I would say seats start infront of guard. Leaving a fair amount of rear storage space but maybe less than the current defenders which also have door and rear seats start infront of the guard.

These disguisses are a work of genius! The more you look at the pics the more confused you get, I think they will look pretty mean when all is revealed and quite different to what we see now.

“and quite different to what we see now”

That’s my point - all of your speculation is on disguised vehicles, not 100% ready production vehicles.

I find myself yawning again! Oh dear Won’t be retro...

BIG OOPS! In my previous comment about it being a 2 door I omitted to spot the rear door handle.

    Makes note to self.
Time for new glasses Mr Bee, oh, & a working brain. Deeeeeeeerrr.

You're right, that is the whole point of disguises.

This whole thread has speculation some facts and some informed guesses.

You might have to get used to yawning if that's not your thing Won’t be retro...

The question is is the real defender underneath the disguise or is it a disguise under the disguise? Hmmm

    Cheers,
100%, for sure it could be hiding a dual cab ute or even cab chassis.

Wouldn't that turn heads. Or maybe the above is actually the real McCoy & what you will buy?

How Land Rover Will Modernize the 2020 Defender | Trucks.com

Interesting article with an American JLR exec interviewed

I think the only bit that is written a little wrong is where it says it will be moving away from heavy duty components at the start of the article.

Then towards the end it says heavy duty components will still be part of the new Defender.

    Interesting about the accessories also

Also makes good points about it's versatility capability and drivability.

The one thing that can’t be faked is the VERY short rear end as a wagon.

I doubt there’s a ute under there, but I guess the very short rear could be just cab chassis / sans any tray.
