I haven't checked back through the thread but I really really hope JLR haven't said that the new Defender will be 'lifestyle enhancing' as if they have that will mean it's like a taller Evoque Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro...

Here you go...you only have to google New Defender Lifestyle. LOL.
...more speculative gumf below including the L word.

“On-Road Comfort” as priority is predictable but at least the article says “Little is known” LOL.

“Land Rover Defender Sport Reportedly Coming In 2026 With A Focus On On-Road Comfort”:

“Little is known about the model, but the report says the Defender Sport will be a lifestyle vehicle with better on-road performance. That isn’t much to go on, but the magazine says people should “Think of it as a modern Suzuki Jimny / Jeep Wrangler for the well-to-do in-crowd.”

Its either a sign of things to come for JLR, or a confirmation of what we can already see. But who would know there’s been so much waffle about nothing.

    Wheel and tire sizes

I'd be interested in what anyone else can make of the wheel sizes in this picture lifted from an earlier post.
Trying to scale between the probable length of the vehicle and the wheel size I'd estimate the rims are at least 22" and the tires probably 33".
For reference my D5 20" rims have an OD of about 21.1".

    D2a (Sold)
    MY17 D5 SD4 SE (Sold)
MY19 D5 SD4 SE (with all the options I want)

Are you talking about the ring shots or winter testing

So, I got in a D5 today at the LR Terrapod at the Brisbane 4WD Show and said to the bloke, "Is this as good as my Defender? "
He said, "It's good, but it's different".
Then he waffled on about electronics.
I said, "My 2009 Defender has TC and anti-stall."
He said he had locked it in low first and set the Hill Descent Control for 1km/h.
We went over the up and down, which was impressive, but I couldn't help noticing the Isuzu ramp nearby was just as steep.
My conclusion: if I could get the D5's HDC in my Defender I'd be a very happy chappy.
Also, the D5 has a great interior, and I'm sure it's a great place to be in a crash, but it's out of my price range.
Maybe I better start buying lottery tickets.
