That actually looks hot, i usually like just the dark ones.So, I got in a D5 today at the LR Terrapod at the Brisbane 4WD Show and said to the bloke, "Is this as good as my Defender? "
He said, "It's good, but it's different".
Then he waffled on about electronics.
I said, "My 2009 Defender has TC and anti-stall."
He said he had locked it in low first and set the Hill Descent Control for 1km/h.
We went over the up and down, which was impressive, but I couldn't help noticing the Isuzu ramp nearby was just as steep.
My conclusion: if I could get the D5's HDC in my Defender I'd be a very happy chappy.
Also, the D5 has a great interior, and I'm sure it's a great place to be in a crash, but it's out of my price range.
Maybe I better start buying lottery tickets.

Not all that far off a V8 supercar 18” by the look of itWheel and tire sizes
I'd be interested in what anyone else can make of the wheel sizes in this picture lifted from an earlier post.
Trying to scale between the probable length of the vehicle and the wheel size I'd estimate the rims are at least 22" and the tires probably 33".
For reference my D5 20" rims have an OD of about 21.1".

Hmm im a sucker for those all blacked out everything RR Vougue's though, wow!
I guarantee most of the display trucks at the 4WD Show were black with black wheels. Boring. Confused the 2 year old grand daughter. She kept pointing and saying, 'Daddy's truck'.

Subscribernot sure about stage shows , but with regards to 18" vs 16" , as previously mentioned it is more about sidewall height , took the Rangie to the Suzuki track at Bornholm beach today along with a mate in a D3 , for those not familiar with this place it would be one of the most challenging hungry sand exits in W.A ( the suzuki track is a lot more of a challenge than the main Bornholm exit) . I normally take the D2 on 265/75/16 and have no problem with 10 psi .
today, rangie sport Tdv6 , 265/60/18, 10psi.....no problem
D3 , 285/65/17 , 10psi......no problem
in fact very hard to tell if it was easier done in my D2a td5 or the rangie even though the TD5 has more grunt ( modified )
