    Hahah
I’m all confused about roll bars and ARB now!!

Blackrangie do you really suppose they will make a bull bar
For the new defender inside of 2 years?
I just can’t see enough sales in Aus to warrant the hassle of monocoque bar
At least it looks to have a subframe to attach too?
Maybe a poxy aluminium thing may as well just run the factory bumper

I really think the rate limiters for an all purpose work vehicle will be this thing
Will be slow to release a Ute, no full bar and winch .... I guessed that maybe by the time they release a 130 dual cab say 2023/24 someone may have worked a bullbar for it

Oh and yes Nolan’s is technically shallow if it’s only bonnet height
Your photos are good and show about the same dry season level as the D3 video
Do the OTL in April May and it will be half way up the windscreen

'10 130 dual cab fender (getting to know it's neurons)

Yeah mate, After asking around regarding the D5 at multiple AU companies, they are in the works.

In my opinion it has taken them a while to realise it is actually a serious 4x4 underneath it's curves, I was the same.

After speaking to rhino they have already completed the 3d scans of the D5, and they are considering how to attack the cooler locations, do they work around it or do a relocation pack.

No doubt being a similar but not the same setup with the new Defender, much of the design work will be able to be swapped over.

As you no doubt know ECB do a significant bull bar for the D5 that goes over the bumper, I'm not sure if that is an issue for approach, as its pretty good factory, but at least it's something.

New defender will have more broad appeal in my opinion so aftermarket will back it more, especially ARB considering it will be released in the states.

If you look at the Jimny with it's payload, you can barely take a passenger let alone any supplies after a bull bar and a full tank of fuel and there are already two Australian bull bars made for it within months.

Jimny is one car you should definitely not put any type of heavy steel bull bar on, lightweight ABS or alloy only.

I think your 2 years for the new Defender is a little long of a timeframe for a bullbar, sliders, roofrack, (rear bar not really needed especially with that departure). I would just throw a second spare on roofrack for outback trips. Ill tip 6months-1year Won’t be retro...

With the screenshots posted above they are actually from the Discovery 3 Nolans Brook video..hehe..sneaky Won’t be retro...

That article says they caught the 130 inch in testing. I can't recall seeing a 130.

    Cheers

Looks like Frankfort motor show, my guess is they will do outside and invite everyone attending, they have done a big launch event outside motor shows for most of the recent new models.

Sorry, slipped into old race car engineering jargon.
    In that world ARB=anti-roll bar!

And that was several thousand lifetimes ago too!
