Are we talking on road or off road comparison , All those vehicles listed are underwhelming compared to the traditional Defender as far as off road capability goes . I'll be interested in a direct off road comparison to 1/ a factory Puma Defender,(if there are any unmodified examples left) if its better then it would be interesting to see what level of 'off road' preparedness is required on a traditional Defender to match the LR2020 .
Not really interested in any on road comparison, as long as it gets from A-B at the speed limit is all that matters.
Not sure how this will effect the full EV defender when it comes.

Who thinks there will be a V8 defender variant or not?
And will it still be mild hybrid or just pure 8, diesel or petrol.
I think there is a high chance considering how many people are still shoehorning 8s into defenders, works v8 defender, gwagon, cruiser and Nissan have V8's
I stopped being interested with the Ineos Defender 'replacement' when they selected BMW as their provider of Engines / transmissions, and removed myself from the Ineos watch list.
so yes interesting development indeed.
Also interesting to hear in the recent news that Fiat/Chrysler and GM have been funding Tesla in the form of purchasing green credits. And now news of Fiat-Chrysler / Renault merger , Renault are also key EV developers.
With the amount of.torque and power that straight 6 can produce (bet it's silky smooth too) I can't see a V8.
Cheers
