Seeing as you have just acheived the reverse of what I am trying to do. You will be able to tell me exactly how to do it.
How to you get those little screws out on the bottom of the screens, they are a real bugger with the dash in the way.
Please help!

Lousey weather here and I suppose lots of other places as well, no chance of working outside on anything :(, so I had to do a small job (no such thing as a small job on a Land Rover:twisted:)
The windscreen wiper motors had been started some time ago, but I stalled on them, doing too many things at once, again blame the weather.
I purchased some very thin wire, that takes power from the outside of the wiper motor to ?? the electric motor, I unsoldered the old wire, as you can see,

I need to keep the brass block that the screw is in, to reconnect the ?power wire.
I had made several insulation blocks, but this is the one that is going to be used (hopefully) if I can ever file it out just a whisker undersize to make it a neat push in fit (press it in), but it isn't easy to file:(

I will need to keep it insitu in that housing to complete the job I think, damn shame that you just can't buy that part anymore, anyway cheers Dennis:angel:
ps To remove the screws from the bottom of the vents, you need a very good screwdriver, blade type, with insulated shaft and about 8" in length, taking the screws a 1/2 turn at a time, they will come out, try tightening them first, then unscrew,,.

I have to be carefull now, as 'Max' (Digger's sleeper) was snooping around this afternoon checking out the 2 windscreen wiper motors, he must have heard them running or me talking about how smooth they worked;), only need to clean the 2 mounting screws etc, make a few small gaskets and they will be ready when I mount the windscreen

I see on the pevious page your waiting for a tubing bender for the fuel lines, i have one i used for the brake lines, only a hand held thing, you can use it if you like. just fire off a pm to me and I can stick it into an overnight bag if you like.

Many thanks for the offer John, I do have a small one for brake pipes etc, and my new larger one did arrive, just haven't had the opportunity to use it as yet, and with a friends wedding tomorrow, not much is going to happen, but I'm on leave from all 3 jobs as of next Wednesday for 10 days:D:D:D hopefully I'm going to paint 113-372 in DBG;) cheers Dennis:angel:

This morning I had some time up my sleeve so to speak, so I replaced the nuts on the spare carrier

these are 1/2"UNF, then marked out holes for the windscreen hold down loop, I will rivet it in place when I get a strap made

pps it has been etch primed and is painted flat black on the underside,,.

Well I managed to secure two volunteers ;):(, the wife & son to help me replace the spare tyre mount on the bonnet.
I secured it with 3 gutter bolts, then located all other six holes with rivets, then tightened the three screws to hold it all in place,

then the bonnet was turned over and the rivets put in one at a time of course,

tomorrow morning I'm going to grit blast the bonnet hinges and nuts n bolts etc, etch prime and paint the underside of the bonnet in DBG, if it doesn't rain:(, anyway cheers Dennis:angel:

My first day of 10 days off work, I mixed a little too much DBG to spray some small items, so I ended up spraying a first coat of DBG on the Tailgate

both items will be rubbed back again, before top coating them, but I ned to paint all other items including the bonnet, before I attempt a second coat, I hate wasting paint.
I also fitted the seatbox assembly, just need to fit another 6 bolts along the sides where it attaches to the sill rail, then tighten everything up

Nice to see the tail gate is sporting the usual dent from being swing past the chains :).
On the screen hold down strap: Tooles in Wodonga had a few. I think he's gone out of the main street.:o
