How's the form on the FFR at Minto that went for $17kI get it was (appeared to be) rebuilt, but it was incomplete and a bit of a job to get back on the road... That's crazy money.
Matt.
If it was in pretty good condition though and you could tolerate finishing it, still would be better value for money then a new great wall or mahindra , how were the other prices though I missed seeing the auction
I talked a mate into buying this
Land Rover Hard Top 6x6 Ambulance Auction (0002-3004172) | GraysOnline Australia
He was on holidays & never even viewed it !!
Anybody looked it over?? seems a bit cheap, I will get to look it over next week.
Was that the one with the chassis still in the raw galv? If so it appeared to be a new never used vehicle rather cannibalised for parts. The condition of all the fittings in the engine bay were all brand new. There was a similar lot in Darwin and it's VIN was a couple of hundred away from the one in NSW.
Yeah I had a quick look out of curiosity. It was in good condition, I didnt start her up but it had tidy engine bay, nothing missing. Turbo'd. All around it look to be very tidy.
Looks to be a good buy, I would have gambled on it if I had cash to spend and storage to spare.
:envy:
Ah, thanks, a bit of a gamble there but he figured it had been sitting at a base somewhere doing nothing. He bought a series fire fighting truck back in the eighties that was low k's & it served him well.
I'm told he will be stripping this one back to chassis & modifying to his requirements. I guess there will be a Ambo body up for grabs soon..

Yep. Just about everything on it was freshly painted, coated and plated - just at $17k, along with associated costs of getting it on the road, it's a lot.
I don't necessarily agree with comparisons (i.e.; Great Wall) because they're not a fair swap. I'd love the FFR and good luck to whoever owns it. Perhaps it will form part of a collection?
Anyway, i think the average vehicle (110) sat at around the 7k mark. Some dungers and some good ones in the mix.
Matt.
