I've got a 2002 Harley Dyna SuperGlide with 18" apehangers saddle bags rear pack rack. Riding gear ... Open face helmet (black) with face wrap on the cold days and rayban sunglasses (corrective lenses) Arlen Ness jacket, leather vest, draggen jeans, leather chaps, harley boots and depending on the weather open finger gloves or full gloves. Used to ride it any weather but got sick of spending more time polishing it than riding it.. Its going on the market as soon as i can bring myself to do it, I'll buy a cheaper ride and spend some cashola on my disco oh and the missus

I'm relatively new to the Land Rover scene (although I've harboured a secret love of them for many years) but bikes ... that's a different story.
My current bikes are a KTM 530 EXC that's been modified for navigation rally racing. Here we are in the 2010 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge back in April:

Riding gear is pretty full on for a world championship round like that and I don't scrimp the dollars on this stuff - it's saved my life more than once!:

Off to do it again in March 2011 ... then the Australasian Safari in September.

I forgot to mention the other bike - a 1988 Cagiva 750 Elefant. It's No. 257 of the 500 made and is the limited "Lucky Explorer" version to celebrate the Cagiva win of the Paris Dakar in 1988.

    Cheers

as long as it doesnt sheer the swingarm off he'll be right, they had a bad habit of doing it in wheel stands in the early ones

When riding I base it on where I'm riding...

I wear this..When out on the highway.
(Excuse the old pics of the bike, she's modified since then)

And this to protect that ugly head from getting uglier..

Unfortunately they dont make Draggins for Fat Bar Stewards

Around town, much to the disgust of most riders on here I wear:
Shorts, T-Shirt, Sneakers and Open Face..

My wife however has brains She's an ATGATT rider... (All The Gear All The Time).

Cracked frames were an issue. As was the rotary damper. From '98 onwards they came out detuned.
