Thought I'd resurrect this thread in the light of developments wrt our water problem here in the Sun-no-shine state. The warnings have gone out that 600mm deep fast flowing water will sweep a heavy 4wd away...
Not wishing to spoil fun but I'm really re-thinking my risk assessments of venturing into water...
Meanwhile the Bris river continues to rise...

not $1,000,000... we are aiming for sub-$500, including head and air-box connector piping. Up to customers to supply their own Sikaflex to seal the air-box or we could probably supply at cost... just adds weight to the shipment.

The second RAI is still in test with another member of this forum.

Andy is back from the NT mid-this week and will be getting more RAI's made up taking Captain's feedback in to account for the "final" model.

Then we make up the fitting templates and write the instructions. Shipping is going to be a pain though... too big for Aust Post, so it will have to be pickup or via courier.

End of the month looks promising... gods willing and the rivers don't rise

BTW: this is supposed to be a Muddies thread.... FWIW I'm planning to put BFG KM2's on one of the P38's when I can afford it, might even drop down to 32" to avoid scrubbing altogether.

    Cheers, Paul.

TNT are usually reasonable for shipping larger items like this.
Perhaps we could organise a "Group Shipment" to a Capital City and the collect from a Central Point.

We could then all have a "Oooohhh, Aahhhh" moment as we unwrap our Raised Air "Snorkel" Intakes

Yeah, TNT aren't too bad. I have an account with them and have at times found them cheaper than Hunter, which came as a bit of a surprise.

More than happy to do the group shipment thing to keep shared costs down. The Hard Range office in Balwyn North (DT-P38) could be a potential distribution point for you Mexicans if Dave agrees, and can get his better half's 'Cruiser and 911 Targa out of the driveway to avoid damage from incoming P38's

Depending on demand in other Capitals, we'll be looking for a "mate" to accept the shipment and subsequent visits from other RAI buyers.

Perhaps we can make a day of it? I will personally donate a slab of beer to each "Snags and Snorkel" event that a mate in each Capital City or Major Regional area agrees to host. As a responsible person, I should only donate light beer since you will be driving your P38

Of course, we have to get those RAI/Snorkels out to you yet...

    Cheers, Paul.

    Paul:
I'm happy to be a Melbourne Base, however I'm up in Pheasant Creek/Kinglake which might be detrimental to shipping costs.

However we could organise a P38 Rangie 4WD Drive Day up here... followed by Snorkel Collections

    Talking DONE

No prob's Paul. ALways happy to have a pride (is that the appropriate collective?) of P38's gathering at my place. Also happy to put the Melbourne shipment in my little box trailer and on the roof racks and drive up to Kinglake for a day out of driving and perhaps O/N swagging... always love a few beers around the fire!

Either way, when they are ready I am too!!!

P.S. All our inferior vehicles will be ejected to the street in favour of P38's

Well my property in Pheasant Creek/Kinglake is on 5 Acres, and theres a nice collection of empty Horse Paddocks out the front of the house waiting for a Pride of P38's to arrive.

We already have 2 x P38's to begin with (Wifes & Mine) so we are already on the way so to speak

Now there's a thought... if we have them good to go by end of the month and I am coming down to Greendale gathering on 5-March I can throw a few RAI's in the boot.

If that falls through, I could come for a drive down anyway and bring some with me... saves you shipping costs and you can buy me a beer instead

No need for the "Buy" of the Beer... The Beer Keg Fridge is full of 19L Kegs of Commercial Home Brew goodness
