Gaz, I'm still in awe of this build, thanks for the update, and it's your rig, you can weld the vents up or do with it as you damn well please. (and I love my vents )

    Wiring

Found this photo taken the day before we got the engine running. This is about 1/4 of the wiring loom from the Chevy. Bloody nightmare trying to sort it out. Dad (in the background) and i spent a day going through the manuals about 8000 pages covering all the electrical, mechanical and body of a silverado. In the end from my hazy memory, it only needs a few wires to get it to run. On the bar stool near the front wheel is the throttle as it is completely drive by wire. Looking forward to doing the wiring as that will mean i am getting close to finishing.

    Cheers

Hours upon hours trawling the diagrams, in the end, being able to liven a few wires to make it run, EFI stuff is always the same, lots of looms appear to be made just for engine conversions, LS1's are the easiest I've some across, can apply 12V to 6 wires in the engine harness, apply fuel and broom.....1UZ-FE would have to of been the worst so far, but that's more due to lack of decent diagrams!

LR pornagraphic build up your doing

Couldn't agree with you more with the wiring nightmares. One thing i have found is the english/yankee have good documentation and the jap stuff you generally can't source or is changed every 3 weeks and i cant read japanese either.

I always say to anyone to grab a workshop manual and if you have troubles or not sure ask! Plenty of people always ready to lend a hand especially on this site.

    Cheers Gaz
