    Hi Tim,
    Comming along realy well.
I am looking at getting a Mig and yours looks to be doing a resonable job and by the hand piece I have ssen in some of your pics, I am assuming its about a 150 amp-180 amp Mig with Gass. Could you please advise brand style and if you are happy.
Just qurious as I am thinking of getting one for home as i have a lot of little jobs to do.
Rock sliders, rear bar, front steering guard, diff guards
and what i tell the wife I Need It for Hand rails for new deck and a couple of sets of stair hand rails.

    Hey Allan
Yep ours is a mig and it's a transmig195 amp (gass), it's a realy old welder (about 20 years old) so the technology would have changed alot by now, i think the brand is ''CIG''
So far (dad bought it new along time ago) it has done the job just fine, dad built an alloy camper trailer with it and many other jobs
Your best bet would be to go the biggest welder you can afford, if we bought another mig it would be a 250amp so you can weld alloy without a problem
There going cheap on ebay at the moment

Looks really good Tim, has inspired me big time to replace my crappy rear end .

Question for you. Are you at some stage maybe putting a swing away wheel carrier on the bar, taking the spare off the door?

Nevertheless, need to shake the old man into action and get his welding skills going .

    Cheers

    Hey Goldey
At this stage i'm not going to do a swing away as i'm only planning on having 31'' tyres for now, but later on when i go bigger tyres i will consider one, shouldn't be hard to modify for one
