It's not the Buff's at present the whole place seems to be on fire, couldn't see across our yard properly at one point this morning and we've had ash falling as well. Think they've lit up all of the bush behind South.

Got through a bit again today:

Installed the drivers door, fitted the mirror, installed the internal door lining
Aligned the passenger door and fitted the inside lining
Replace drop arm bush (pitman arm bush) - another unpleasant job - just getting the arm off when it is rusted solid
Replace front left tie rod end and roughly do wheel alignment
Check both front wheel bearings(yet to be replaced)
replace all wheels with available spares for rego check
replace windscreen wiper rubbers - keeping with the colour theme - these wiper blades showed up

Tidy battery area, replace under seat covers, replace fuse cover - first find cover screws (don't you hate it when it takes ages to find some screws which are staring you in the face)

Become an upholstry trimmer for a few hours. I have never attempted this before but what the heck. We have a roll of front runner in the shed for odd jobs and we decided to re-trim the roof lining with this. The material is completely washable and if unsuitable. just remove it and cover with another material.

Firstly remove old trim and clean off stuck on foam with a wire brush.

next cut material slightly larger than required

cover roof liner with contact completely on one side (2 coats) and at edges on the reverse side

completed job in our downstairs room for drying - Too dangerous to leave in the shed for drying as we have just had 3 willy-wag-tails leave the nest and have swallows nesting now - hate to get them christened yet. The end job looks pretty good IMHO

How long are those wiper blades going to remain white

Actually I'd be more concerned about their life up here as most black rubber/silicon/plastic is usually better UV stabilised than a corresponding white compound.

You are probably right. I find it difficult to get good quality wiper blades now a days regardless.
