    Spare rim

    Hi Erich,

I hope it is a trick of the eye, but that spare alloy looks like the D2/ P38a stud PCD?

Well spotted. Our rims are out being altered and that was the only 8 inch rim we had without and rubber on it. We had as a sample for tyre / wheel height in the tub cut-out.

    30th September

No photos from me today - Andrew may post some later. Got a few hours work in - on the car.

Cleaned and rubber back all the plastic bits - 2 mirrors, grill and head light surrounds. Sprayed all with plastic primer and hifilled all except the grill.

Rubbed back guards and doors - acceptable so gave all final hifill coat to be sanded to 600 grit

    Bought the 2 pack paint.

Also won a new tyre on Ebay - sweating on this as the 5th tyre - spare.

Andrew achieved heaps on the rear tray - he is working like a trojan.

    Erich.

Yep done a bit of work on the tray.

Has 2 wells, one at the front for....... dunno. whatever. And a rear onr for the tyre , jack and.... any other stuff that needs to be carried.

can anyone pick what the cover on the front tray well is off? (hint. its a factory land rover picnic table top)

Oh, and heres one of the new tyres next to the stock ones that are currently fitted. i couldnt go too big, as it is still a chicks car.

I cant wait until the rims are finished (later this week) and we can bolt these up. The rims will be flipped, so they will have 2" inwards and 6" outwards. i can never remember what this is in backspacing or offset etc.

This is looking really good Andy and Erich. Sharon and Alfred are the luckiest!

Those rims will work out to about 2.5" backspace and 50mm offset.
    Cheers

You'll have to come around and have a look at it when it's finished Baz.

Might be a real good excuse for a beer or two
