    Katie

One of my fondest childhood holiday memories was going up to an Aunt and Uncle of mine in central NSW, The Uncle would take us out rabbiting, shooting and general thrashing about the paddocks in an old S1 shorty, mercilessly bouncing about while your eyes stung from the petrol fumes in the cab and endless amounts of crap slewed about around your feet and in the back.
Once we had done all that we would come back at night frozen to the core covered in god knows what sort of grime and Auntie Katie would step into gear and get us off to the bathroom while she dished up some hot meal and sweet tea and generally doted on us, cranked up the fire and played squatter or baked a cake. At sparrow fart she would get us all on the move again feed us up till bursting point and send us off out the door to tear about the paddocks doing man stuff with my Uncle.
These two were the salt of the earth, no airs and graces, had bugger all and asked for the same. We always had fun there, loved belting about the place and I guess in hindsight the simplicity. Gordon loved showing us farming stuff which we never had seen, Katie was always there with a smile and a rye joke and looked after us ridiculously well and was always disappointed to see us go. Good times
I certain this is were my affection for nuggety old Landies came from. So I think its only appropriate after some discussion with my Mum, Katies sister, that I've decided that when I took owner ship of this old girl during the week I think I'm going to leave her as she is, good, honest and no airs and graces , I dips me lid to my Auntie Katie.

    She's a 2 litre , as far as I know.
Its not too bad a condition, no rust in chassis. A couple of issues to sort out, but looking forward to taking her for a run on the weekend

    Too cool for school.
These things just get under your skin don't they?

I love the fact it's 'as is'.

    Thanks for posting.

    Nice truck

Yes leave it as is a survivor like mine. But if you really want to get rid of all the airs and graces etc and remember your childhood with the correct amount of reality then you wont want that Smiths Heater. I will gladly take it from you and even give you a carton of your favourite beverage in return.
