Is that a metal handle on the crank? I'm pretty sure the 80" would have had a wooden handle, with the metal one coming later. But the same size nuts were used until almost the end of 2a production.
This Wheel brace was in Rossco's seat box. Original type ? Fits 80 inch wheel nuts.
Cleaned it up today and a protective coat of paint.

What a huge resto. How's the progression? Awesome to see what you've done so far
Looks like the wheel brace in my 80" that has steel hand grips . My two 49 Rover P3's had this same type of wheel braces with the steel hand grips . I have about 20 Rover wheel braces of different sizes & are all made the same way.

Put aside 5 days this week, to try and move Rossco along a bit,
Because of where it sat for 38yrs, every bolt is a struggle.
A passing comment as I was painting the brace 'Thats not a land rover part' We she learnt something new today.
Very slow progress.
Hopefully wont take me 6 years like Gilbert, my S3.

Good evening.
Started work on Rossco's 53 bulkhead.
Bit of patch work and made up some captive nuts.
