The old red motor is looking great, as for painting the body to be totaly honest I think the spit & polish would look great as it looks to me that it has the original paint that is so hard to find on old Landys, I wish my 80 inch was still wearing its original paint.

I love the Bronze Green and had been thinking that, as the ute wasn't original, I should just as well paint her another colour. However saying that, the grey is in good knick and after a bit of a polish up today; she looked quite promising.

Well today didn't see the clutch bits go into the ol-ute. As olmate needed a replacement alternator and that took the time from me...... all good now.

So I finished up the wiring under the bonnet and connected the second tank to the ol-ute instead. Will finish the painting under the bonnet tomorrow and then get into the clutch bits. Still looking good to have her motor back in a couple of weeks.. .. and I cant wait to have her running

Feel like its going very well. The motor can go in next week (as long as I get the clutch line and cylinders in on the weekend) then its the brake reservoir and she's a going concern.

I have bows coming for the back (soonish) and fingers crossed the wife will pick up that I want some new seats for my birthday. And then - its just cleaning up the outside .... and yes - I am going to clean up the original paintwork she'll be a little beauty

Well the motor is in (less the radiator etc - got stuck at the beer fridge....)

So what do you reckon? the engine bay is going to be pretty flash.

I had to do it - changed the engine mounts. Sometimes even I reckon that I am a lazy bloke. Anyway, she's running now and sounds sweet. Will need a new exhaust soon but its good enough for the moment.

Will sort the brake reservoir out this week, get a longer flex pipe for the clutch slave cylinder and then i'll be right to chuck a few 'blockies'.

What do they say - '"no ute... no circle work". Well maybe not with this one but she is keeping me happy.

What colour is the engine bay Troy looks to be black yeah?, you inspired me to think about tackling my engine, I only said think!, I have degreased it 3 times now and slowly the motor is starting to appear, the inside of the engine bay is grey but i am going to go chassis black everywhere I think. Your coming along great guns.

Keep going fella - that engine will appear soon.

As for my next little project, I think I 'may' have been successful getting these bows re-made and then it could be time for that canopy I have been promising myself . See how we go. I am still waiting to confirm if I have been lucky enough with replacement bows.

The paint work seems to be fine. Gave it a light rub yesterday and it looks good enough for the ute. There will just be the need to tidy up the interior paintwork and then... some seats

    Cheers Easo
