Sounds a bit similar to mine, although mine started on 'start ya b'stard' and then cut out after a few seconds.

This made me think fuel, so I bled the fuel system and all good.

(Mine sits for 4 to 5 weeks whilst I'm away, so I'm guessing there's a small fuel leak somewhere).

I used a 3/4"? ratchet ring spanner to get mine and Ratel10mm's glow plugs out and it worked a treat. Juddy if u r stuck give me a call if you still want to have a look, I.m ok for Saturday this weekend if you want. Have you checked your valve clearances to make sure you have enough compression???
