    Steering relay.
With a ratchet strap as a casualty.

I didn't think it was going to be enough to work but it's all I had laying around so I thought I would give it a shot.

So after two weeks away on holidays, I am back into the series.
Anyone have a top for removing a tie rod end seized in the rod? Ive had wd40 soaking into it for ages now and i cant get it to budge at all.
I was considering cutting the end off and drilling down the center.

Heat, but not enough to affect the heat treatment of the tube, and add penetrating oil while hot. Repeat twice a day until it frees (I usually give up after about a week if it doesn't free).

    Well, that worked!
All three rods painted and fixed up.

    Thanks

After reading this thread I decided not to try and remove the steering relay in my vehicle.
    Cheers

No mate, you gotta do it! It's a right of passage.

I think you mean a "rite of passage". And I think your words should read "No mate, you gotta try to do it!"
