That looks like you stole my engine stand. Brother & I had two heavy deputy ones made when we had our steel & alum engineering business. We had bought one from Supercheap & when we mounted a LR or Jag motor in it the upright post would bend & the front of the engine would end up 200mm lower than the back. We made a support for the front but that only got in the way. Yours looks a dead copy of ours .
AR I like seeing a freshly painted motor in the correct colour. Back in the days when I run the judging at All British Day I would tell the crew to quickly go around & pick 5 vehicles in each category then go back & ask to look at the engine bay . Under the bonnet would always produce the winning car.

Are all these gaskets necessary to fit distributer base???

    IMG_4824.jpg IMG_4825.jpg

IMG_4828.jpg IMG_4829.jpg its taking longer than I thought

A bit off progress many hands make light work......plus crane needed a counter weight

    IMG_1256.jpg IMG_1257.jpg IMG_1261.jpg IMG_1262.jpg

Motor seems to be nose down without wood block under flywheel housing

IMG_1264.jpg I think facial expressions tell it all............ is it normal to shim mounts?

    Cheers Paul
