Blood boxes are available, the one in Brissy you mentioned can still be had for a "Buy it Now" of $3,500.00 or there's the nothing to spend one from Warwick Lord at $10,000.00

The one in Brissy is fairly reaonably priced IMHO...

It has most of its bits and is rough but complete. Assuming no rot problems, it should be an easy resto.

Go on... you know you want to...

Found it( or one of them )

This looks like it could be the #2 in your image above.

This was taken in 20th Dec 1989 when it was her last day in the mountains.
I visited her owner some years later & took some more BD (before digital) & I will dig those up if you are interested.

Had a little win this weekend, Alex the owner of the first Angus Firefly to be delivered to the SMHEA (the single 1960 one) found that he still have the Transfer box Instruction plate with the Chassis Number of the ex-Dept. of Sport and Recreation Narrabeen training camp Land Rover.
It was serial number #3710 the second of the 1961 batch delivered to the SMHEA and should be from the same batch as the Crackenback Village unit recently acquired by Wayne.

This vehicle had lost it's Firefly body some time previously so I wonder if it is the same unit from the Blue Mountains described by Tankradio2 ?

Diana, just to keep the record straight.

The photo was not taken by me but was published in a 'Land Rover Experience' Magazine a few years ago on the day she left the Snowys.

It is an image of the ex- Cabramurra (Snowys) Firefly & therefore was ex-SMHEA.

A few years ago when I saw it, it was near Tumut & in full fire appliance nick.

The article may have some more details, & I will try to dig it up & post them.

That'd be it Dennis. I knew his name was David & you have now reminded me of his surname.
