    MEET Harry Highback

    Well came home last week end & to take the line from that song "I came home with a brandnew friend"..
    Its a 77 model Has a blue 202 holden the early blue...
    its in pretty good nick realy well compared to the last one when we got it ..
    Has a military chassis ..One question is did the tray backs come with a standard rear cross member or did they have there own type..Also has a little box behind cab not to sure what that is yet...I also learnt that the roofs are of fiberglass or a plastic ..
    This one is modern for me it even has a heater....
    Dont like the mirrors as you see more of these types on toyotas..
    Chassis is in real good condition ..Has the sals rear end.
    This one must go fast as it has chrome bits on the engine .May even consider a V8 for this one...The holden seems ok but i would like another V8 thats all..
    It has the original seats so they will be going as i cant see over the bonnet with them..
    Not to sure on colour yet maybe orange & black ..or even army drab green..Will more than likely put power steering in this one to as i have done to the green one..For the wheels i'm thinking of popping the centers out & having them fitted to 8" wide outers..?not sure on that yet..
    Will be redoing the dash as its cracked real bad..& surprising the door tops are good which is a bonus...Also came with a complete spare front diff.even has a spare tyre something the green one still doesnt..LOL..

    Needs a battery the one that came in it i sware its from a ride on mower..or a moped or something..

    It could even end up that colour yet as i dont mind it ...

    Will look good when its done.
    Before long somebody will point out its not a military chassis,they are quite different than the civillian version.

    Agreed. Nothing about the car suggests military origin; however; it looks a beaut project to do

    Na i ment i think its been fitted with a military chassis .As i was under the impression only the military chassis & the 1ton chassis where the same .Has the extra holes where the spring atatch to the chassis ..
    These arent the best pics but will give you an idea as to what i meen..
    Not the same as cervilian ones...
