When I got my set of disco rims modified they removed the centre on the lathe and then moved it to the new position (25ish mm inwards) and rewelded. Didn't flip the rim at all so valve hole was in the right spot. Also this means that the rim is the correct way interms of the beads for the tyres.
Just make sure that whoever does them get them good and true. We had one set done by someone that ended going back to get re-done as they were so bad.

Well didnt much done today as i had to fix the crapota, It was the points..
Painted the front hubs & repacked the barrings & put new seals in them..

They look better on here tho.

    Look no more stands..

After i put the wheels on i jacked up the drivers side to see if it would turn like normal, It does turn freely but it is a little tight so im hoping with driving & fresh oil it will loosen up & be fine..Its also nice & easy to move now .YAY

    Back to this now..

Ha when i took the cover off the back the bit under the hand brake I noticed that the speedo drive just sits there no grub screw or pin to hold it on..That will explain why the speedo in the green one jumps around when going slow like in car parks.Bugga will have to fix that..A bit of gasket goo will hold it there..

    Hi Banjo,

There is nothing specifically holding that drive gear in place, just the tension from the castle nut that holds the drive flange on. As long as this is tightened up to the right tension (85 ft lbs) then there is no need for anything else. If the speedo is bouncing it is usually a sure sign that the nut is not tightened up properly. It needs the split pin to make sure it stays there so a new pin is not a bad idea.

Great work you are doing there too . Love the yellow, it will certainly stand out.

Well went & did a little bit today not much as its pooring here & only have me garden shed to work in....

Put a second coat on the cover behind the hand brake..

Started to clean the transfer case up till we got visitors so gave up then..

As for cleaning all my bits & stuff I pressure cleaned it all before i pulled it apart then again after it was all pulled apart..
Then i just use degreaser & clean them as best i can once thats done i wire brush them then spray them with carby & throttle body cleaner & wipe em all up a couple of times & they come up brandnew..PLUS rustkill epoxy sticks to anything..

Oh & when you reasemble them make sure you scrape any paint off the serfaces that will touch or the left over paint will cause a leak..
