Thread: Bunyip rebuild

Yep almost makes you want to polish it hey .

It must have been a replacement panel because it was never painted with colour just etch, spray putty (over spotwelds) and undercoat.

So thanks to the Ho Har's I now have a double row pulley.
I fitted a new seal and a new welch plug while it was apart.

Back to repairing panels.

The temp has made working with filler difficult but I dont have much option where the PO repaired things with a ball hammer, so much bog and so much sanding. The thing will never be straight but I will look a little better going down the road.

Just slack and a few months with a dead home computer while they made up their mind to replace it. I have not got my software up to date yet so photos have been impossible.
I have the doors back on the car and the RH guard but still a long way to go.
Will start to put the fittings onto the engine and gearbox next and then get all the fluids in so I can start it and move it out of the way and into position to start on the wagon sides and roof.
Hope to have the photos stuff working end of the week so will start to catch the thread up then

It's a bugger working on them in winter isn't it!!
A nice warm bed is far more attractive than a rusty cold lump on a Saturday morning in winter.

Looking forward to see progress pic's once your PC is up and running. Maybe restore that too (i mean the PC) after this project and it will be good for another six months going by hardware life these days.

This is the door I bought because there was nothing left of the frame on the original I also got a SH one for the left side because it was missing the bottom half. You can see I lashed out and bought some new mirrors and hinges too.
