Seat box components done.
Think that's it, for the glue, from the carpet, stuck in every part Gilbert.
Hope the 'paint fairey' visits, whilst at work tomorrow.

1/2 a day, and happy with results.
What have members used for heater control cable ???? I was thinking cutting down a universal choke cable.
Thought a push bike s/steel brake cable may work, but too bendy.
Also thought, HT fencing wire, for inner inside original outer.
Thanks

Cold, wet windy day in the Tweed Valley.
Good day for in the shed, assembling seat box.
Was informed 'paint fairey's' Mother is a seemstress? with an industrial machine.
I got some brown vinyl material. a while back. So seat covers have gone over for pattern covers to be made.
I got hold of a middle under seat tool box.
Couple of questions,
Which way round does it fit ????
How does the cover fit, or is a different one fitted ????
Was wondering if I cut a slot in the back of the tool box.
Thanks
whitehillbilly
Fits as per the second pic with the bit sticking out to the back. The lid should have a bit spot welded under it Inthink that latches into that back bit. That's just what I remember from mine though, it was a while ago when I pulled it apart.

Thanks Gav.
I would appear I need a different centre lid, with the tongue set more towards the front.
Rear Tail Gate fully painted and fitted.
Test fitted seat box and floor panels.
Sticky foam strips, from Auto One under fuel tank seat panel.
Want to stay away from Silicone, so things can easily come apart if needed.
Will look at doing floor panels as well, unless any one has another suggestion.

That's looking amazing. Well done!
Sticky foam strips are my preferred solution, but get closed cell foam to avoid holding water (rusts bolts and corrodes alloy!). Same for the floor panels.

I found a supplier of butyl mastic strip.
I use this on the fixed door glass and windscreens and it should be OK for the floor panels. Doesn't set but once clamped between the floor panels it should grip well so might be hard to remove panels in the future. Mind you, how often should you need to lift the floor panels ?
I found the company via the internet, they provided 'industrial sealing solutions'. The strip would be difficult/heavy to post so you'd have to find a local supplier. I got enough to last me a lifetime because they had some on special......
