You are on the wrong side of Australia. The Hohar's would be able to fix that . That one would be a walk in the park for Harry. I don't know if he would just make up the bits you need & send them to you could send him a PM & ask.

Tim, if you get stuck PM me; I can make a ribbed footwell for you,
Cheers Charlie
Got to stripping more bits of the body today to get them ready for repainting, and to separate the last of the bits that need re-galving.
Passenger door is fine, couple of small dents, but nothing to worry about.

Drivers door is hiding a couple of horrors, the bottom of the frame has 2 thicknesses.... I think a repair piece has just been welded over the top of the old one.

And there is a decent dent in the skin that is just full of bog

Not too sure what I am going to do with that. :/ If there is a decent 2nd hand one around Perth I'll grab that, but otherwise it might be a new door bottom.
All stripped down :)

The "cat flap" that came with the roof and side panels I brought is really very ropey. There is a lot of rust in the frame, (looks better in the pic), the lock is seized together, and the brace on the lower left hand side is missing. Another to add to the list to source.

Got a bit carried away and removed all the galv bits from the rear sides, probably could have just re-painted them, (as the last owner had), but I removed on piece then...... well they all had to come off. Pig of a job.

And finally the drivers side guard has a nice tear in it where something has been hit, pushing the bumper into it.

I'm tossing up whether or not to hire a steam cleaner, mainly to make sure things like the seat box are really clean. I don't want any grease/oil leaching out of seams etc and causing grief with the paint.
The other quandary I have is what to do, finishing wise, to the inside of the panels that were never painted. So far the thoughts are to paint them, or cover them with stone chip or sound deadner paint. My only issue with that is the textured finish left behind. They are a bit to patchy and stained to leave them as they are, so any input would be appreciated! :)
Cheers,
Tim.
Did you ask Matt about doors???
He did have quite a collection of bodywork at one stage,I rekon he may even have a pair of station wagon side windows if you wanted to replace those fixed glass panels;););););)
I think he is just happy to see the stuff go,wants to build another shed, worth calling in for a visit.
Andrew
He did say he had heaps of stuff Andrew, he just wanted to get it all organised before giving me a call to come have a look.
Cheers,
Have a spare cat flap here you can have tim
The inside panels I would probably stone chip ( as well as the underside of anything body wise ), unless you're going for a Period-Correct restoration.
The stone-chip or even paint may help the refinished car last longer against corrosion or damage.
Got the last bits of stripping the panels down today, in between degreasing, scrubbing, and pressure washing all the bits. I'm still not happy how clean they are, (with regards to oil/grease contamination), so I'll probably end up hiring a steam cleaner one weekend.
Bunch of bits to be galved on the left, and another box of bits to be blasted and painted on the right. Yay :/

The brake and clutch pedal assembles also got stripped down, pretty much only the steering box and dash to go :)
The brake booster is in pretty poor shape, all the rubbers are perished etc. Can anyone recommend someone who will overhaul it? Or is it better off being replaced?
The wiper motor also got pulled apart to be inspected, cleaned, and painted. However the commutator and brushes are very worn, so I'll probably end up replacing it.
