Bar tread modern equivalent is a Simex

available in different sizes (even 7.50)

Compare some, get definitive and consistent proof (not just a one off) and then post a thread like this

Otherwise it's just like the Nazi, Toyota, Greenie, Roothy or any other propaganda machine

All this aside thou , it made an interesting story to read.

I can not disagree with your logic, I was just in awe of the blatant fact that such a modded vehicle could get stuck while the stock standard Landy made it through. I would have honestly expected the Patrol to walk straight over as others have suggested. It was unexpected and to someone like myself with limited off roading experience, my curiosity urged me to find out the reasoning why to benefit the knowledge base of myself and others here. The point that I have learnt is that what looks like a lot more rubber does not necessarily give you a lot more clearance.

I'm going to take your statement on board and see if I can convince my new "best mate" to measure up our diff clearances to the ground, then swap tyres and go back to the same spot for another go.

Gees I should have gone into politics. I can really write some "spin".

Hey Booger, we already took over the world, we've been slowly giving it back.

I couldn't count the amount of Nissan, Toyotas, Holdens, Fords, Mitsubishi's, etc etc etc AND land rovers(probably more so then any other make but only because i drive with so many of them) that i have dragged out of somewhere in my county with giant tyres..... on a recent trip with some guys from outerlimits i went on with 2 land cruisers, 2 patrols a hilux and a rangie - they all had 33-35s except the rangie on 32s, and during he course of the day i pulled ALL of them out at least once, some several times and didnt need recovering at all myself. think about it if they didn't make a difference why would all the comp trucks be running 42-49in tyres?

Thats something could never work out either. They are big in diameter and very wide.

I'd like to see tough truck won on a set of 7.50R16's. Comp vehicles only rn big wide tyres in my opinion so that they look cool.
    Cheers
