D3Jon bought one of these and fitted it to the 3.9D 110 now owned by JamesJ. I think the one Jon bought may even have been NOS, not recon. IRC Jon shipped the box and a whole bunch of other spares over with some personal belongings.

    NFI what Jon paid...

However, Dave Ashcroft quoted me 220GBP shipping for an R380 inc bellhousing to Perth Airport (so would be plus duty, GST, and all the exhorbitant clearance fees and airport taxes).

Going on the R380 price A$1,800 inclusive of GST with only the import duty to pay is still a good price for a factory reco and you still have the old box to use as spares or sell.

You would send it as second hand goods via courier and not a shipping agent. The latter ones being renown for gouging.

I've finally gotten around to doing this swap. Everything is going well so far, I think... The 4 speed is in place and most things are now bolted up. Just no fluids at this time.

The main issue I have is the handbrake. As I have used an LT95 from a RRC, the handbrake is the mechanical linkage type, while the county has a cable type. Is there anyway to get the handbrake working as is, or do I need to find myself a 110 rear casing and swap it over?

Also, I hate the clutch set-up on not just 110's but most landrovers... So hard to bleed. That's tomorrows job, along with putting the floor back in.

Lastly, I need a vacuum switch to control the diff lock if anyone has a spare floating around.

    Cheers
    Scott

How is the magic question I have some ideas in my head, but I've recently moved house and don't have my workbench/vice/drill press/welder/stash of assorted steel stock at my disposal.

Rather than re-invent the wheel, I was hoping for some input and ideas from someone who has already done it before I try fab something up.

    Cheers

Those small RR handbrake drums are a bit of a pain. To fit the larger 110 type you need to change the rear output housing, speedo gears and drive flange. The only thing interchangeable is the rear output shaft. All these bits are scarce to find and mighty expensive from LR. L.R. Series in the UK are much cheaper than Aus even with postage cost. Give me a yell if you need help with part numbers. I have a spare vacuum switch in the shed somewhere I think.
