Have you tried re-setting the ECU

I would say that as you turned this on and off with the motor not going, this is why they haven't gone out, I think if you turned the CDL off with the motor running and the CDL light off, they may have went away, the CDL light needs to be off when you re-start.

    Baz.
Makes sense since so far as the ECU is concerned there is no discernible change of state. Are you certain the CDL has disengaged though?

The 3 amigo's, I have found, hang around. In the end mine only departed when the ECU and board were replaced All the sensors were in good order.

Thanks, Baz, I assume I need a nanocom to reset the ECU? I think I will enlist the help of my son, and go thru the process again, this time engaging with the engine running, and see what happens. Luckily its only in my back yard, and not somewhere remote, I suppose. When I get the proper fittings connected, I will be cutting the wire to the computer that tells it to deactivate TC @ ABS, as per good oil, I think. Cheers, Bob.

    Only if this doesn't work

sitting in the car, door closed key in ignition

    Step 1) open drivers door

    2) re-move key and count to 15

    3) insert key back into ignition

    4) close drivers door

    5) re-start car

This is the re-set for the D2.

If this doesn't work you'll need a Nanocom.

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

Well, with son as safety no. in car, I started motor, got under, turned cdl spigot anticlockwise,[ looking from above] the cdl light, tc light and abs light went out went for drive, low range, high range, stopped, under again, turned spigot clockwise,[ looking from above] cdl light only, on.Now as far as I know, its anticlockwise, engage, clockwise, disengage[looking from the top] Thinking SWMBO, could actually be right, and I am losing my marbles, I took off my watch, put it on the console, and yes, clockwise looking from above, is the direction I turned it, it should be disengaged. My dilemma is, do I assume It is disengaged, and drive on, and how can I tell if the cdl is engaged, apart from the light? Also, if it is engaged, and I drive on what are the dangers? Sorry for the saga, I dont want to let this beat me, Bob

Well, I tried to reset, Baz, but all I've done is bring back the other two lights.I know I've turned the spigot to the disengaged position, so I will assume the cdl is disengaged, and hunt down a nanocom.Thank you all for your advice, cheers, Bob.

If the light was on when you engaged it and went out when you disengaged it, chances are it is disengaged.

You would think so, Baz, but what is happening is the light comes on when disengaged[ spigot clockwise, from the top], and goes off when engaged [ anticlockwise, from the top] I have been told those directions are accurate as far as engage/disengage goes, it just seems my light is doing the opposite of what it should. Bob.

    OK that's odd,

when you first engaged the CDL, the light came on??

And when you disengaged it, it stayed on??
    Cheers Baz.

    Hi Bob
My light doesn’t go out till I move back or forward. You only need the ignition on not necessarily the motor running.
    Clockwise engages it.
