    at last, 3 amigos

In a moment of madness, decided to get under my 1999 disco , fitted with cdl internals but not connected to handle, with trusty spanner turned nut 1/4 turn anticlockwise[ [ looking from top]. Took it for a drive in back paddock, noticed cdl light, tc light, abs light on. Returned , trusty spanner, turn nut 1/4 turn clockwise [to where it was] hop in start engine, the three freinds still there. Am I right in assuming it should be just a matter of clearing the fault with a nanocom? Or......? Bob

I was very lucky with my classic.. bought it with the 3 Amigoes already up and running... fixed the EAS which left only the TC and ABS.... The TC lamp may have burnt out all by itself, 'cos its not alight anymore... but in fixing my Cruise Control I made the mistake of running the car without the driver's airbag....
Now I've got the SRS red light. !

Tried it out in wet weather and could'nt get the wheels to lock up.... which is good enough for me, so a couple of dash bulbs are coming out.

    Easy

I'm possibly about to get my CDL hooked up. Is this common to bring on the amigos by doing so?

In this case they should go away if the CDL is fully disengaged.
It would be unlikely for them to decide to make a lasting appearace after CDL activation. (posible)

    cheers

Yes, I didn't want to crawl under the d2 with motor running, so I got under, turned spigot, got out , started motor, went for short drive with amigos on , stopped, turned motor off, turned spigot back, motor on ,amigos still there. I just revisited the good oil, and a thread there seems to indicate the spigot turns clockwise , looking from above, to activate. If this is so, my cdl must have been in the activated position [ or close, I had no lights on] BECAUSE I could only turn it anti-clockwise, to start with. So could you tell me, looking from above, does the spigot turn clockwise or anticlockwise to activate?[ I hope I made that clear, I think I've confused myself] Cheers, Bob

Anticlockwise, the cable pulls forward turning the spigot anticlockwise.

Have you tried re-setting the ECU

I would say that as you turned this on and off with the motor not going, this is why they haven't gone out, I think if you turned the CDL off with the motor running and the CDL light off, they may have went away, the CDL light needs to be off when you re-start.
