That is strange, don't know what's going on there

Get it re-set with a Nanocom, then start again, maybe someone with a Nanocom can stay with you when you try again, this time engage and disengage it with the motor on, once it's re-set.

Thanks, Baz, because it is a strange one I'll post a thread if I get it worked out, probably something simple, Bob

it is clockwise to engage csl from memory so the cdl light coming on and off is correct.

the other lights will only come on if the car is off when you engage the cdl, with car running engaging the cdl should be no lights except cdl.

If looking from the top (I know this is hard to do), turning the spigot clockwise will engage the cdl. There is no doubt in my mind, as I have a hard linkage underneath, that I need to reach under the car and pull toward the drivers side to engage.

Biggin and Yorkie, you are both correct. Went over to M R Automotive to get some gaskets, they had a reconditioned td5 transfer case on the desk, very kindly gave me a t/c cdl 101.I have obviously misread the sticky on The Good Oil, getting the turning direction of the spigot confused. I drove home, and after turning the spigot anticlockwise, disengaging the cdl, I followed Redback's instructions to reset the ecu, and its all good, no lights! [yet.] Thank youse all ,next job, after buying the hoses over a period of time is replacing all cooling system hoses, flush radiator, new water pump., also remove turbo and inspect, and clean intercooler, watch this space Bob

Well I went and had a look at my tutorial on the install of my CDL this morning it is clockwise

What I didn't realise, is that when you engage the CDL it pushes the cable turning the spigot clockwise, it doesn't pull the cable, I assumed it pulled the cable turning the spigot anticlockwise

    Sorry Bob, my bad

Here's a couple of pics from my tutorial.
