There is a difference between the 200Tdi and 300Tdi housings, and for the life of me I can't recall what it is.
The part No. you have in your first post doesn't match Ricks 300Tdi No. so maybe it's a 200Tdi, Rick thinks they are different.

the 200 tdi element has the fins on the outside to get the centrifuge/spin going.

The 200tdi filter had a Donaldson style plastic outer which spun the dust to the outside, the 300tdi filter did not hve this feature.

As does the Donaldson element # I posted above.
It will go in a 300Tdi housing and flows well compared to a stock type filter.
isuzurover flowed and particle tested it as part of the K&N filter tests from a few years back.

What 4range has posted piccies of is not a Wolf housing, the wolf housing is the plastic one I posted above, and Souse has already mentioned that the element part # in 4ranges filter housing is for a Wolf XD, so I'm guessing someone has just jammed it into a 300Tdi housing as it fits.

4range, can you measure up the element you have please ?
    ID, OD and length.

I have a standard filter here I can compare it to.

Sorry mate, measured up the filter I have here and forgot to post

Identical to an ESR2623 except that the gasket on yours seems a touch shorter.

    thanks Rick,

The gasket may be shorter due to compression over time - who knows!

but from what you & the others have given me, it appears that ESR2623 is the part, & it is off a 300TDI - probably doesnt really matter but what model & year No. - any Idea?

Also, is there a ryco or aftermarket equivalent that you know of?

Suppose now all I have to do is find out where I can get one on a Saturday!
