Adjusted the handbrake shoes ( :) ) and cable ( :( :censored: ), and installed my bar indicators and wired them up.
They actually work! :D
Then I broke my C pillar trim trying to remove it.....

Not today but last sat afternoon and Sunday.
Complete overhaul of the suspension on my 110, needed after 117000 km. Complete re-bush. Out with the originals and in with new superpro all round. New Koni shocks, +2" king springs and rear HD trailing arms. Put back together and torque to spec.
Result...
Early days but ride is massively improved. No longer sagging at the front and no longer wallowing round corners. Final measurements suggest between 40 and 50 mm lift but expect this to settle ver time.
Thanks to my mate Tristen for loaning some muscle, expertise and the 10 ton press.
Next weekend...
Do the preload adjustment on the swivel housings, fit new dynema winch rope, fit new extended braided brake hoses and brake bleed, align steering...... Go for a drive.
Weekend after.....
Install Ashcroft HD shafts all round and CV's (maybe). Wire up Albright solenoid and remote winch control.
My Defender must think all it's Christmases have come at once (and early).
Weekend after that......think about getting a vehicle lift so my body won't ache like it does right now.
Ian.
Transferred and renewed rego - now it's officially mine !
Fixed wiring behind the dash.
From the fire
I started installing an antenna bracket for a uhf then after removing the disco's glovebox to run the cable I thought I might as well pull out the ecu and fix my dry solder to get the windows working again then I started pulling out the console and parts of the dash because I want to mount the external speaker to my uhf above the radio but can't figure out how to make the removal tool thingys and now the boss lady wants me to pick her up from shopping and nanna needs a lift to the mechanic to get her car and well um, I guess I shouldn't have told her I'd be there in fifteen mins (I've been on here for twenty already).
Stuck some solar powered Chrissy lights around the roll cage..:p
Fitted a Rovacraft winch bar, then made up a bracket to mount the 20" BajaDesigns light bar and started wiring it up.
Still waiting on the swivel recovery points to show up so the bar will have to come off again in a coupla days (hopefully they arrive in a coupla days). While it's off again I'll replace the standard bumper bolts, wich I reused, with high tensile items.
Took this....

Now I realise I've left an interior light on for nearly two days, and the battery has gone flat
On the charger it goes tomorrow...
