Tidied some stuff up and went for a little spin, Turbo is shagged, better strip it and rebuild it, clutch needs some better adjustment, whirring noise in the transfer case under load, alternator not charging. Ahh the joys of an engine conversion :):(
Well, I would say I finished installing my Traxide dual battery system today....
But I didn't take any pictures, so I guess that means it didn't happen. :p
Maybe I can update you tomorrow....;)
got the 2a gs out and cleaned it up a bit, then did the same with the #5, heading to Quorn for the show , meeting up with a mate at Pt Augusta for brekky then convoy through the Pichi Richi Pass for a great day out.
So today I improved the sound in my 9TY! Installed vibe speakers in keeping with the UK heritage! VIBE Car Audio Speakers
A set of splits, 2 way and a slim line powered amp sub certainly has the defender rocking now!
And just as impressive - the Mulgo seat rail extensions! Especially considering I'm 195cm or 6'5"
The next job is the traxide combo light wire upgrade - it's arrived and awaiting!
Pictures to follow!
George is back from the workshop!. Transmission is now great - hardly any clunk either. And the engine is running smooth as a baby's bum. A happy chappy I am.

Replaced leaking SLS air springs - easy.
Replaced Injector harness and rocker cover seal - a bit fiddly but clothes pegs helped.

Installed my new compressor.
Nice and neat location for the little 90 - easy to get to from both in the cab and via the window. It's relatively out of the way, out of harms way (water dust etc) and close to the battery box for wiring. I have not yet made the electrical connections though- Ran out of daylight.

Over the last week I have replaced the accelerator cable, replaced front and rear indicators, brake and tail lights with WIPAC LED replacements, bled the fuel, charged the battery, replaced a battery clamp and taken my beloved County for a tuff trip.
Only been 5 months since it was last driven...
