Got a call yesterday from Off Road Systems asking if I'd mind if they substituted an aluminium for a steel drawer unit as they had one in stock. Fine by me for the same price. They assured me it would be ready for shipment on the due date. All good.
Adjusted the hardness on my front rancho's from 6 to 5.
The rears I left at 6 due to towing the van.
6 all round unladen is bloody rough!
and they go to 9!:eek::eek:

Fitted the e-Tag to the windscreen! :eek:

attempt #6 to fit a roofrack to Grumble.
no matter what configuration of brackets , clamps , bolts , u-bolts I have tried , it has so far been unsuccessful
the donor was a patrol
next......cut/grind/weld/extend......it will fit.

A bit of careful thinking and you can do it safely at home on a concrete slab without any silly risks :cool:
What I did...
Ground the head off the acoustic cover bolt as it had broken the tabs on the threaded section...
Charged the battery and re-installed it.
Started it up :)
Karchered it, washed it with Autoglym shampoo and my wash mitt, hand dried it :p
Then flogged the crap out of it up and down the road.
Forgot how much I love driving that car :cool: Forgot what body roll was like too :angel:

I pulled the motor on my s3 coz clutch felt strange. Felt like it was slipping but not slipping. Anyway, turns out clutch was ok but pressure plate diaphragm spring was broken. Coz its a 186 with a cabstar 5 speed im wondering what to do. So spoke to my buddy at a clutch place, turns out its original landy pressure plate fitted to special flywheel made for 186, and stsndard nissan clutch plate. Phew. Horrible thoughts averted.:D:D. Just gotta strip the head off tomorrow to fix possible burnt exh valve no 5 cyl and leaking head gasket on drivers side...strange place for coolant to leak out of a 186 :thumbdown:
