Yep, that's the secret heater hose.
New radiator will get put in some time soon so I'll blank it off later.

The part no. for the blanking bit has been quoted as PYB500040, although I haven't confirmed that yet. It actually has nothing to do with the heater, the old radiators are divided into 2 tanks, the smaller lower one supplies coolant to the fuel cooler from the lower spigot, coolant being supplied to the tank from the oil cooler, via the secret hose. A T connection at the rear of the fuel cooler provides a connection for the coolant return from the heater matrix & coolant return from the fuel cooler. This coolant flows via the heater/expansion tank return hose joining the coolant pump feed pipe. [ thanks to RAVE ] Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

For the first time in 45 years I actually serviced my car exactly when it was due. Below is the kilomatage when I drove it off my hoist.

I also fixed the dodgy relay socket that runs one of my Fyrlyt's and I finally refitted the turbo heat shield.

    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

I would frame that photo because you will never see those numbers again.

Bought a bright orange synthetic winch rope for a good price at the Brisbane Camping, Caravan and Fishing Show on Saturday and fitted it on Sunday morning (in between the rain). So now the winch which was on the Defender, minus a rope, when we bought it is working fine and ready to rescue the wife's Yaris if she gets it stuck on the front lawn (as if). Ha!
One more step in getting the Defender ready for exploring. Now looking forward to the drawers arriving next week.

Paid the balance owing on the drawers for the Defender today and arranged delivery, hopefully later in the week. Can't wait.

    Not today but yesterday.

Swapped a pair of springs I had kicking about for some new headlights courtesy of MR LR (Thanks Will!).

    Spot the difference?

    Hmmm....

    Looks much better!

Now I need to find the source of the darker drips in this photo...

I also removed my winch because it's tigerz crap And it needs a clean up.
