I like to have something to carry on with when I reach a stumbling point on another, whilst it needs some procrastination to sort it out!

Yesterday and the day before MR LR and I:

Swapped my intercooler for a known good one chasing boost leaks. Didn't work.

Removed and rebuilt my front prop shaft, still have a vibration on overrun but besides that its much smoother now.

Also wired up my Nemesis. Holy ****balls they're bright!

I wish you hadn't posted that Muppet.
I was looking at my poor old Nite Stalkers only half an hour ago and thinking, thinking....

Unfortunately I've spent miles too much in the last few weeks on trips and 'stuff', rego is due and there's already a list of wrongs that will involve more $ to alleviate over the next two weeks.

    Bugger.

Well a bit of progress happening today. I loaded up my s2a chassis and took it to the sand blasters for clean and paint. Decided on satin black. It wont show all the imperfections as much. Anyway heres a couple pics.

Last pic is at the grit blasters yard.
The fella said he would try to put it in with another job so as too keep costs down for me and the same when he paints it so there's less paint waste.
I will start a build thread when i get it back. I think i have all the parts i need to get it to rolling stage.

    Cheers Rod

What are the spare set of holes on the chassis cross members for Rod?

That one reminds me of a military chassis.

The secondary holes (LHS) are for the exhaust pipes instead of them hanging down under the chassis. In the military the pipe goes around the side of the cross member under the flywheel housing and then pops back up between the LHS chassis rail and gearbox, the pipe then goes over the top of the LHS gearbox mount. The exhaust then runs through the secondary holes in the cross members to the back.

Remember that the SIIa military had a LH fuel tank, so the exhaust couldn't run underneath the tank.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
