What did you do on your Landy today?

Preparing the D2 for sale and decided that the sagging headlining needed to be attended to so yesterday I removed it so I could deliver it to a motor trimmer for repair. However, during the removal process I discovered a couple of broken plastic bits. Fortunately the bits that had broken off were still there so out with the Q-Bond (see post #3524, this thread) and both were repaired. The strength, ease of application and compatibility with different plastics of the Q-Bond is truly amazing.

First was one of the clips on the 'A' pillar trip -

Those Saw Horses!!!

Very ingenuitive!!!

Not all done today, but over the past week;

• Finished installing my UHF into the roof console where the Sun-Roof switches go.

• Fitted +3" extended Staino HEL Brake Lines front and rear.

• Whipped up this neat little C/Breaker panel that fits beside the OEM fuse panel, not connected to anything yet, but its there!

• Started to chop/bend/cut/grind/bastardise the compressor bracket from my D1, to fit the D2!

Normally used for the kayaks but certainly came in handy for the bumper repair. ;)

The Q-Bond comes with two containers of welding powder though. One specifically for plastics and one for metal plus two containers of glue.

After watching one of the u-tube videos on Rapid Fix, I'm now going to try the Q-Bond on some rubber repairs that other adhesives such as 'contact adhesive' and 'sikaflex' have been unsuccessful.

Where do you buy the Q-bond?

Worked (without the powder) on the rubber soles of my half boots although, as they were in a pretty poor state, I used a fair amount of the glue. But still have the second unopened bottle and haven't touched the grey (metal) powder.

I think I've already had more than my $26 worth. :D
