Not today, but on the weekend before it teamed down with rain (in Sydney, this is a daily occurrence) I replaced my steering box on the 2 door. The damn bolts were done up so tight the washers had become concave!

I also picked up a rear maxi drive and axles so now I wont be blowing up any more diffs... hopefully.

Next is to get the starter reco'd again, put in my new rad and shrouded thermofans..... list goes on.. always does i guess.

    Red face Found the leaks

Finished it all today, went for a drive and noticed still small leak on O Ring on Heater Matrix, but now I know what I am doing that will be a 30 minute job, then noticed that on one hose where I decided to reuse a silly Landrover clamp I have a leak, and ........ I forgot to put the Fan Shroud back in.

Luckily the annoying little leak would have needed the fan out anyway to get to it so no big deal about the fan shroud.

Although a really tiring experience it was worthwhile, as I took all the engine bay "bits and bobs" out and so was able to have a really good look at the engine bay. I now know that this rime next year I will replace the Oil Housing Cooler, and most probably the water pump (pitting on the outlets)

Frustrating that I have to do some pieces again tomorrow but the experience and confidence gained makes it all worthwhile.
THe annoying little leak that I still had, was because I had forgotten to tighten the hose clamp thta connect the radiator to the thermostat

And the leak in the matrix was a similar issue I hadn't adequately tightened the saddle clamp.

spent half the morning chasing up a clutch release bearing, then came home after work and pulled out the old spigot bearing housing.

I think I owe IsuzuBob a beer or three for this piece of advice......

Great news to hear that the 'Lumbering Giant' - and also 'isuzutoo-eh' - are back on the road again.

I wouldn't mind having a look at the new reinforcing - will you be dining at The Ranch for lunch on Tuesday?

Did'nt actually DO anything, merely watched in amazement it slowly fell off...

The adhesive has let go of the glass, no residue on it at all, barely an indication of where it had been.

    - The mounting tab looks like its a common size, in which case I'll tuck the (defective?) wiring back up in the lining and replace the Autodim mirror with a 'real' dipping one from ANY other car.
